Will my ears be completely flat against my head?
No. Dr. Valdés avoids overcorrection. The objective is natural projection, does not flatten out. The ears will be placed closer to the head, but will retain their natural contours and angles.
What is the best age for this procedure?
The ideal minimum age is around 6 years, when the ear cartilage has matured. However, many teens and adults also undergo otoplasty later in life and get great results.
Is the procedure permanent?
Yes Once the cartilage is remodeled and secured with sutures, the results are usually durable and stable. Minor changes may occur over time, but revisions are rarely needed.
